A product information recommendation server for recommending optimal product information by analyzing product trends and user preferences of the general public based on big data and a method for recommending product information thereof are disclosed. The product information recommendation server according to the present invention comprises: a user information storage unit for storing user information including at least one of a user's gender, age, and occupation; A product information collection unit that collects product information on products purchased by a user during a set period; A detailed information classification unit for classifying detailed information including at least one of a manufacturer, a model name, and a design by product type for the collected product information; A purchase propensity analysis unit that analyzes a propensity to purchase a product for a user for each type of the same or similar product among the collected product information, based on the classified detailed information; A location information receiving unit for receiving location information from a user's mobile terminal; When the received location information is within a set distance range from the location of a store of a specific product, a big data collection unit that collects big data of purchase information for a specific product of the general public corresponding to the user information through a network; A trend analysis unit that analyzes a purchase trend of a specific product of a general person corresponding to user information based on the collected big data; A propensity position estimating unit for estimating a position of a user's propensity to purchase products with respect to the analyzed purchase trend; And a recommendation information transmission unit that transmits product recommendation information for a specific product to the mobile terminal in response to the estimated position of the user's product purchase tendency.
