The invention relates to a self-sufficient power supply module (10) for supplying power to a sensor module (30) equipped with a communication interface, the power supply module (10) having: (a) a heat-conducting plate (13) for arrangement on a machine (50), (b) a Cooling system with a heat sink (15), (c) at least one Peltier element (14) which is arranged between the heat conducting plate (13) and the heat sink (15) and is designed to deal with a temperature difference between the heat conducting plate (13) and the heat sink (15) to generate electricity, and (d) a current-carrying connector (12) which is connected to the at least one Peltier element (14) and is designed to be coupled to the sensor module (30) so as to carry current. The invention also relates to a sensor system (40) with such a power supply module (10) and the sensor module (30) as well as a machine system (60) with such a sensor system (40) and the machine (50) and a monitoring system with at least two such machine systems ( 60).
