PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a precipitation particle discrimination device capable of naturally obtaining a discrimination result of precipitation particles based on information from a plurality of radar devices. A precipitation particle discriminating device includes a data processing unit, a fuzzy processing unit, a coordinate conversion unit, an interpolation unit, and a discriminating unit. The data processing unit acquires the polarization parameters obtained by reflecting on the precipitation particles from the radar devices installed at different positions where at least a part of the scanning area overlaps. The fuzzy processing unit obtains the polar coordinate distribution evaluation value from the polarization parameter using fuzzy inference, using the distribution of the evaluation value representing the degree of attribution belonging to each precipitation particle type in polar coordinates as the polar coordinate distribution evaluation value. The coordinate conversion unit converts the polar coordinate distribution evaluation value into the orthogonal coordinate distribution evaluation value. The interpolation unit obtains a composite evaluation value by synthesizing the Cartesian coordinate distribution evaluation values having substantially the same position on the coordinates among the Cartesian coordinate distribution evaluation values obtained for each of a plurality of radar devices from the polar coordinate distribution evaluation values. The discriminating unit discriminates the precipitation particle type from the synthetic evaluation value. [Selection diagram] Fig. 1
