To provide a portable type and relatively small sized audio calibrator for suppressing a calibration error due to vibrations of camera shake of a user, wind, and temporary environmental noises.SOLUTION: A reference sound signal generation part 4 generates a reference sound signal for sound calibration by a predetermined reference frequency. A speaker 1 emits a reference sound for sound calibration based on the reference sound signal. A reference microphone 3 generates a microphone detection signal corresponding to the reference sound. A filter part 8 extracts a reference frequency component from the microphone detection signal. An effective value processing part 9 comprises a square arithmetic part 9a for raising the first detecting signal to the second power at the subsequent stage of the filter part 8 and a low-pass filter 9b of the predetermined time constant and generates a second detection signal. A reference sound signal generation part 4 adjusts a level of the reference sound signal at a predetermined second time interval based on the second detection signal level.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
