PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for preserving deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) capable of securing a sufficient supply amount and lowering the production cost with respect to a DNA composition containing a pine bark extract.SOLUTION: According to the present invention, there is provided a DNA preservation composition comprising a polysaccharide-containing lactic acid bacterial product as an active ingredient. The lactic acid bacterial product is preferably produced by a combination of Lactobacillus delbrueckii subsp. bulgaricus 1247 bacterium and Streptococcus thermophilus OLS3078 bacterium. The term "composition" as referred to herein includes substances that can be ingested by animals (including humans), including preparations, such as pharmaceuticals, supplements, and food additives, foods and drinks, and food and drink compositions. The term "preservation" means suppression of DNA damage and promotion of damage repair of DNA.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
