Device (1) for the identification of the upper body position of a person with a first position sensor (2) for the determination of the position of the first shoulder of the person who is established with a second position sensor (3) for the determination of the position of the first shoulder of the person who is established, the position of the second shoulder and an evaluation unit (5) wireless or wired to the position sensors (2,3,6),which is designed to detect an upper body posture defect if the position of the first position sensor (2) and/or second position sensor (3) differs from a predetermined neutral position by at least one critical value.
