The present invention concerns a procedure, system and programme for the quantitative characterisation of an opening produced by capsule hex in a front of a capsule sack of an eye (5),where characterisation is performed on the basis of an analysis of images of the eye (5). The images of the eye (5) are recorded by means of a microscope (3) with integrated camera. The results of the characterisation concerning the opening itself or its quality may be stored and presented for further use.
