The present invention relates to a method for identification, characterization and evaluation of underground metallic mineral deposits.;Being based on rock coatings and fracture fills analysis the method of the invention involves the identification of mineral phases with µ-DRX, SEM-EDS and LA-ICP-MS analysis and is advantageously applied to mineral exploration, evaluation and planning to identify mineral deposits with accuracy and efficiency.;The present invention is thus in the field of geochemistry, geophysics, geology, mineralogy and data processing.
