The present disclosure involves systems, software, and computer-implemented methods for integrating immediate credit application processes and decisions via a financial institution into ongoing transactions performed at a merchant system. One example method includes receiving a request for new credit associated with an ongoing transaction at a second system, the request associated with a transaction payload including a session ID and a set of transaction information. A digital credit application is presented, and at least some of the set of transaction information is presented concurrently with the digital credit application. In response to approving the credit application, a new account is generated, a user is redirected back to the merchant system using the session ID, and the credit account information is securely transmitted back to the merchant. The state of the ongoing transaction is restored, and the new payment information is used to complete the transaction.
