The present invention relates to a machine-vision-based intelligent focusing method for a moving head computer lamp. By means of the method, the speed of automatic focusing is improved, and the requirements for focusing definition and real-time performance are met. The intelligent focusing method comprises the following steps: S1, pre-storing stage lamp projection distances to respectively be focusing group coordinate positions Z21, Z22 corresponding to Smax, Smin, and after a controller receives an instruction to enable an automatic focusing function, moving a zooming group to a position between Z21 and Z22; S2, gradually moving a focusing group between Z21 and Z22 by using a focusing search policy, calculating a definition evaluation value Tn of the current projected image according to an image definition evaluation function, determining whether the definition evaluation value is greater than a preset high definition threshold TH, and if so, completing focusing, otherwise, executing step S3; and S3, determining whether Tn is less than or equal to Tn-1, and if so, a driver driving a stepping motor to operate in a reverse direction, otherwise, the driver driving the stepping motor to operate in an original direction, and then repeatedly executing step S2 until the definition evaluation value Tn is greater than the preset high definition threshold TH, thus completing focusing.
