A technique for storing a restricted data set in a cloud network together with an unrestricted data set and obtaining the data set from the cloud network. A request is received for dumping a dataset from one or more storage devices to cloud storage, wherein the dataset includes a restricted dataset and an unrestricted dataset. The dataset is in a format that is not supported by cloud storage. A restricted data set is identified. The restricted dataset is transformed into a format supported by cloud storage, producing a transformed dataset. The transformed dataset and the unrestricted dataset are dumped to one container in cloud storage. [Selection diagram] FIG.
