An ethological experimentation device for animal auditory association and matching and an experimentation method. The ethological experimentation device comprises a housing (1), a light shielding board (2), a testing assembly (3), flipping boards (4), a sound generation assembly, and a control assembly. Multiple partition boards (5) are provided within the housing (1), and separate a space within the housing (1) into multiple cavities. Each of the cavities is provided with a dividing board (6) that separates the cavity into an experimentation cavity (12) and a food cavity (13). Multiple hand access openings (11) are provided on the housing (1). Each of the hand access openings (11) is communicated with one experimentation cavity (12). A food retrieval opening (61) is provided on the dividing board (6) to communicate the experimentation cavity (12) with the food cavity (13). The light shielding board (2) is slidably provided on the housing (1), and is used to block a side wall of the housing (1) that is provided with the multiple hand access openings (11). There are multiple flipping boards (4), and each corresponds to one food retrieval opening (61). The sound generation assembly is used to generate a sound stimulant toward a laboratory animal. The ethological experimentation device improves the quantitative analysis of an association and matching relationship between the sense of hearing and behavior of animals, thereby enabling accurate analysis of temporal lobe region functions.
