PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illuminated plastic optical fiber which is resistant to bending and emits light uniformly in the longitudinal direction. SOLUTION: This is a plastic optical fiber having a core and a clad and illuminating from the side surface of the fiber, and the line roughness Ra (S) of the clad surface at a position 5 cm from one end in the longitudinal direction of the plastic optical fiber. An illuminated plastic optical fiber having an average value of 1 to 10 μm with the line roughness Ra (E) of the clad surface at a position 5 cm from the other end. [Selection diagram] None
