The present invention relates to a technology for providing a game content-based foreign language learning application through a user terminal (such as a smart-phone, a tablet, and a PC, etc.). According to the present invention, a foreign-language word and a meaning based on a preconfigured language, which is provided by the application, are presented together through a self-directed game interface such that, instead of passive learning through simply writing and repeatedly listening to foreign-language alphabets, elements of "entertainment" and "participation" are enhanced to entice the user himself/herself to become a protagonist who actively participates in the game and learns accordingly, thereby providing the effect of foreign language learning. In addition, in the present invention, iterative learning based on the Ebbinghaus forgetting curve is provided and thus a word, once encountered by a user, is repeatedly provided so that the word is not forgotten. Therefore, the present invention can provide an application that maximizes the learning effect.
