PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for adding antibacterial activity to an article or a sanitation supply by using antibacterial agent which can be easily synthesized, contains no chloride ion and has more excellent antibacterial activity.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for adding antibacterial activity to an article or a sanitation supply, including a step for applying an antibacterial agent containing antibacterial polyaminosilane to the article or the sanitation supply, wherein the antibacterial polyaminosilane is obtained by hydrolysis and condensation reaction of an aminosilane monomer and contains no halide ion. There is provided a method, wherein preferably the antibacterial polyaminosilane is high molecule fine particle shape, has particle diameter of 1 to 10 nm and binds and forms an aggregate with a size of less than 100 nm.SELECTED DRAWING: None
