The present invention relates to a working platform apparatus 102 for working at a variable height in a tower 16 or tower section of a wind turbine. The work platform apparatus comprises a work cage 120 for receiving a person to work in the tower at a variable height and a mounting portion for accidentally securing the work basket to a tower ladder provided with a safety rail 112. In addition, the invention relates to a method for erecting a tower of a wind turbine.
