To provide a switched reluctance motor unit including a switched reluctance motor and a motor control unit, which realizes a configuration capable of suppressing reduction in a current flowing through a coil of one phase as compared with a case where a current flowing through the coil of one phase is commutated.SOLUTION: A switched reluctance motor unit 1 includes: a switched reluctance motor 2 having a plurality of phase coils 11, 12, 13 connected in series; and a motor control device 3. The motor control device 3 includes: a switching circuit 4; and a switching control unit 5 for controlling driving of switching elements SW 1 to SW 8. A switching control unit 5 controls to turn on switching elements of the upper arm 4a and the lower arm 4b so that a state becomes a supply state in which a current flows through one phase coil from a high potential side to a low potential side and turn on one of the upper arm 4a and the lower arm 4b so that a state becomes a reflux state after the supply state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
