To provide a signal specification analyzer having increased accuracy.SOLUTION: According to one embodiment, a signal specification analyzer comprises a reception unit, an A/D conversion unit, a Fourier transform processing unit, a count unit, a filter unit, a detection unit, and a determination unit. The reception unit receives a modulating signal and generates a reception signal. The A/D conversion unit converts the reception signal into a digital signal. The Fourier transform processing unit obtains a modulation rate of a modulating signal by Fourier transform analysis using the digital signal. The count unit counts a frequency of occurrence for each frequency of the modulating signal. The filter unit sets a threshold based on the maximum value of frequency data, and removes frequency data less than or equal to a threshold. The detection unit detects a peak within a range of modulation rates from a distribution to a frequency of the frequency data from which frequency data less than or equal to the threshold is removed. The determination unit determines a modulation multilevel number and a shift frequency of the modulating signal from the number of detected peaks.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
