Provided is a digital twin-based method for monitoring a thermal error of a feed shaft of a numerical control machine tool, the steps being as follows: on the basis of 3D modeling software and MATLAB scripting language, creating a virtual digital model of a physical feed shaft of a numerical control machine tool; on the basis of MATLAB scripting language and Simulink, creating a drive data collection module to acquire geometric model drive data from a numerical control system; on the basis of Simulink, creating a thermal error data collection module to acquire thermal error prediction data; on the basis of Simulink, connecting the above modules by means of data input and output ports, and constructing a feed shaft digital twin model, thereby achieving real-time presentation of the feed shaft thermal error; and on the basis of MATLAB scripting language and Simulink, creating a user-oriented interface. The method can, from digital presentation, implement visual presentation of thermal error monitoring of a feed shaft of a numerical control machine tool, and provides a specific implementation method for the application of digital twin technologies in the field of thermal error monitoring of numerical control machine tools.
