A system for coordinating operational control, operation and maintenance for urban rail transit, and a method. The system comprises an intelligent operation and maintenance subsystem and an intelligent operational control subsystem. Each of the intelligent operation and maintenance subsystem and the intelligent operational control subsystem comprises a coordinative running engine module. The intelligent operation and maintenance subsystem synchronizes, by means of the coordinative running engine module, a fault handling plan to the intelligent operational control subsystem. Compared with the prior art, the method facilitates performing scheduling and decision making processes in a reasonable and efficient manner, and has a high degree of intelligence.
