The present application discloses a selective oxidation-reduction regeneration method for waste lithium iron phosphate, a recycled lithium iron phosphate and a lithium ion battery. The method comprises the steps of primary sintering on waste lithium iron phosphate under mild oxidizing gas conditions; separating the lithium iron phosphate powder; and performing lithium supplementation, carbon supplementation, and composition control of lithium iron phosphate powder through secondary sintering using a lithium source and a carbon source to obtain regenerated lithium iron phosphate; Including, the mild oxidizing gas is water vapor, CO 2 gas, or a mixture thereof. According to the method of the present application, lithium iron phosphate having excellent performance can be manufactured. Its electrochemical performance is characterized by very good room temperature and high temperature cycle performance, the compaction density is relatively high, and at the same time, the material has the advantage of low cost.
