Machine and method for compacting a powder material (CP); the machine (2) comprises a compacting device (3), which is designed to compact the powder material (CP); a conveyor assembly (5) to transport the powder material (CP) along a first portion (PA) of a given path to the compacting device (3); and a feeding assembly (9), which is designed to feed the powder material (CP) to the conveyor assembly (5) and comprises a transfer chamber (TC) designed to hold and transfer the powder material (CP); movable elements (13) are present at a wall of the transfer chamber (CP).
