摘要

The present invention discloses the discovery that it is possible to observe the process of a blood-clotting reaction by subjecting a blood collection tube (1) containing a blood specimen to irradiation with near-infrared light which has a specific wavelength of 1,050-1,350 nanometers by using a near-infrared light source (4), and measuring the time variation in the intensity of light passing through the blood specimen as detected by an infrared camera (6). As a result, it is possible to measure the blood-clotting time, and in addition thereto, to determine whether the blood-clotting reaction is complete or incomplete on the basis of the increasing or decreasing trend in light intensity, and to automate the pre-processing step of centrifugal separation processing.
