The present invention includes: a step for deriving, on the basis of three-dimensional shape data of a three-dimensional shaping object (12) to be shaped, a projection (A) obtained by projecting the outer shape of the three-dimensional shaping object onto a shaping stage (11); a step for deriving a quadrilateral (B), the four sides of which are parallel to the X-axis or the Y-axis in XY coordinates of the shaping stage, and which circumscribes the projection of the three-dimensional shaping object; a step for setting, as a reference mark formation position, a position on the shaping stage that is positioned outside the projection of the three-dimensional shaping object and is in a prescribed positional relationship with a prescribed vertex of the quadrilateral; and a step in which a three-dimensional-shaping apparatus forms the reference mark at the reference mark formation position on the shaping stage in a step prior to a step in which the three-dimensional-shaping apparatus shapes the three-dimensional shaping object, or in a step for shaping the first layer of the three-dimensional shaping object.
