The present invention relates to a sensorless control for driving an embedded permanent magnet synchronous motor without a position sensor, and a variable amplitude signal injection device and method for sensorless control of IPMSM. A first phase change unit that receives the phase current of the motor; and a current control unit that generates a command voltage for a desired movement of the motor by adding the phase-changed currents output from the first phase change unit and the command current; and injection from the command voltage A signal injection unit that calculates and derives the maximum amplitude without overmodulation of the signal; and a demodulation calculation unit that extracts position information from the current derived from the first phase change unit and the voltage of the injection signal; and the demodulation calculation unit derived from an estimator for deriving a position error value from the position information; and a second phase transformation unit for three-phase transformation by inputting a value obtained by adding the position error value derived from the estimator, the command voltage, and the injection signal; and a PWM unit to which the voltages derived from the second phase change unit are input. The signal injected of the motor into a variable amplitude signal injection device for IPMSM sensorless control comprising a real-time optimized amplitude value is reflected. There is no need for the operator to consider amplitude values. In addition, it is possible to estimate the rotor position in all speed sections including low-speed and stationary states, so the overall rotor position estimation performance of IPMSM with wide torque fluctuation is improved.
