The present invention relates to a leuconostoc lactis WiKim48 (Leuconostoc lactis WiKim48; accession number KFCC11695P) isolated from kimchi and a composition comprising the same. Leukonostok lactis WiKim48 according to the present invention is a probiotic having the ability to produce phenyllactic acid, and can be used in various ways for human or animal intestines, immune enhancement, and the like. Furthermore, it can be usefully used as a starter of a fermented food.
