A livestock information management system 1 for managing breeding of a plurality of sows is provided with: an information storage unit 121 which stores, in association with one another, a sow identifier D11 for identifying each sow, and sow status information D12 including a sow status indicating the breeding state of the sow identified by the sow identifier, said sow status transitioning through implementation of a breeding event with respect to the sow, and a log relating to the timing at which the sow status transitioned; a sow extracting unit 111 which uses the sow status information to extract a plurality of sows having the same sow status; and a production group registering unit 113 which assigns a production group identifier D21, associated with the sow identifiers extracted by the sow extracting unit, for identifying the same as a production group to be subjected to the same breeding event in the same time period.
