Disclosed are an SR policy issuing method and apparatus and an SR policy receiving method and apparatus, which relate to the field of communications. The methods can improve the reliability of message flow transmission. The methods are applied to an SR network. The SR network comprises a path computation node, a first node and a second node, wherein there are different first paths and second paths between the first node and the second node, a source node of each of the first paths and the second paths is the first node, and a destination node of each of the first paths and the second paths is the second node. The method comprises: the path computation node generating at least one SR policy; and the path computation node sending the at least one SR policy to the first node, wherein the at least one SR policy is used for instructing the first node to generate a first message flow according to a received original message flow, and to send the first message flow via the first paths; and the at least one SR policy is further used for instructing the first node to generate a second message flow according to the original message flow, and to send the second message flow via the second paths.
