The present invention relates to a ventilation unit used in a distributed ventilation system for a living space. In the ventilation unit according to the invention, at least one reversible fan means (16) and the heat accumulator element (24) are supplemented by an electrostatic precipitator for cleaning the air. Furthermore, a filter assembly for a ventilation system, in particular a filter assembly for a decentralized ventilation system used in a living space is provided. The filter assembly includes an air duct (30) having an electrostatic precipitator that passes through a predetermined section of the air duct (30) as the air stream to be cleaned passes therethrough. A predetermined electrostatic precipitator section in the air duct is further provided with at least one regenerator element (24) through which airflow passes. Accordingly, the electrostatic precipitator and the regenerator element are spatially crossed with each other. [Selection] Figure 1
