PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnesia-spinel refractory brick capable of achieving both excellent coating adhesion and stability of an adhered coating. SOLUTION: In a magnesia-spinel refractory brick, the composition contains 60 to 90% by mass of a magnesia raw material and 10 to 40% by mass of a spinel-calcium aluminates raw material containing 5 to 15% by mass of CaO. Further, Al2O3 can be added in an amount of 30% by mass or less of the magnesia-spinel refractory brick, or an iron oxide raw material can be added in an amount of 3% by mass or less as Fe203. With the above composition, the adhesiveness of the coating can be excellent and the stability of the adhered coating can be maintained. [Selection diagram] None
