Laser systems and methods. In one example, the laser system is an optical pulse stretcher configured to stretch a pulse duration of an input train of input pulses to produce a train of stretched laser pulses, increasing the pulse repetition rate of the train of stretched laser pulses to generate a pulse duration of the laser light. A pulse replicator module configured to generate a modified pulse train, a fiber output amplifier configured to amplify the modified pulse train to produce an amplified laser pulse, and a temporally compressive amplified laser pulse to generate an amplified and compressed laser pulse. Includes a pulse compressor. The system can further include a non-linear frequency conversion stage comprising at least one non-linear crystal.
