The present invention makes it possible to cause a perception of a pseudo-haptic sensation by visually presenting a state in which an object is deformed in response to a pulling action or a pressing action by at least one body part. It is to be noted that the proportion of the amount of deformation of the object to the amount of pulling of the pulling action or the amount of pressing of the pressing action when providing a pseudo-haptic sensation of a material having a first hardness is greater than the proportion of the amount of deformation of the object to the amount of pulling of the pulling action or the amount of pressing of the pressing action when providing a pseudo-haptic sensation of a material having a second hardness greater than the first hardness.
