A standard modular filler (1) for a horizontal subsurface flow constructed wetland and a preparation method therefor. The standard modular filler (1) comprises or consists of the following components: an inorganic cementitious material, zeolite powder, and quartz sand. The weight part ratio of the inorganic cementitious material to zeolite powder to quartz sand is (20-60):(20-70):(10-40). The standard modular filler has a high adsorption effect on nitrogen and phosphorus nutrients in urban domestic sewage, overflow rainwater, and water of black-odorous rivers, and does not cause excessive pH levels in a system. The surface of the filler (1) has the optimal microbial enrichment effect. The present application also provides a specific horizontal subsurface flow constructed wetland system and a use method thereof. The optimizing installation and configuration of the standard modular filler (1) product inside the wetland can improve the stability of the filler (1) structure inside the wetland and provide a simple wetland sediment removal method.
