The present invention relates to a curing system for a UV inkjet printer having a UV lamp blocking device and a method therefor. The curing system of the UV inkjet printer of the present invention includes a print head, a UV lamp module, a UV lamp blocking device, a power supply device and a control device. The print head includes a plurality of ink modules. The UV lamp module is provided on both sides of the print head, including a plurality of UV lamps, to cure the UV ink applied from the ink module to the print object. The UV lamp blocking device is movable to the lower surface of the UV lamp module and has a blocking film filter for selectively blocking the UV lamp. The UV lamp blocking device selectively blocks the curing energy output from the UV lamp. According to the present invention, a UV lamp blocking device that selectively blocks the curing energy output from the UV lamp module is provided and the curing intensity, curing section, and curing time are adjusted, so that the UV ink is selected according to the characteristics of the UV ink, the quality of the printed material, etc. By curing, high-resolution, high-quality printing is possible.
