Problem to be solved: to provide a filter for removing aldehyde like volatile organic compounds from indoor air.The filter of the present invention has a casing having a plurality of filamentary elements as support members.The support member contains natural polyphenol and catalyst.The plurality of filamentary elements are organic or inorganic, the filter in the filter cartridge acts as an absorptive filter and irreversible reaction with the aldehyde like volatile organic compound in the indoor air.The natural polyphenols are selected from the group consisting of resveratrol, Resorcinol, pyrogallol, furologranol, hydroquinone, or combinations thereof.The catalyst is solid sulfonic acid.The mixture of natural polyphenol and the catalyst in the support member forms a spongy mesh as a fine powder shape.
