The present invention relates to a sports shoe (1), in particular soccer shoe, comprising: (a.) a shoe upper (10) with a closure region (11) and a sole region (12); and (b.) at least a reinforcing element (20) attached to the inside of the shoe upper (10) arranged in the midfoot part and comprising a plurality of elastic bands (21) extending between the closure region (11) and the sole region (12), wherein the at least one reinforcing element (20) further comprises a lower band (24) extending along an edge of the sole region (12).
