The present invention provides a deblocking method for deblocking transform block boundaries within a coding block in image encoding and/or image decoding, wherein the coding block comprising the transform block is coded in an inter prediction mode and wherein the transform block comprises a first a transform block and a second transform block adjacent to the first transform block, wherein the deblocking method comprises: a boundary between the first transform block and the second transform block is a transform block boundary and the first transform block and when at least one of the second transform block has one or more non-zero transform coefficients, a boundary strength (BS) parameter between the first transform block and the second transform block determining that the value of is a first value; and performing a de-blocking filtering process on a boundary between the first transform block and the second transform block based on at least the first value of the BS parameter.
