A technology for providing driver assistance to a non-autonomous vehicle while operating in an autonomous vehicle environment is disclosed. In one embodiment, a method is disclosed, the method comprising: establishing a secure connection with an object selected from a group consisting of a road and a lane of the road; receiving, from the object, a packet describing the state of the object; verifying the packet; generating an augmented display using the data in the packet; and displaying the augmented display on the vehicle.
