The present invention relates to a CPA member (200) for assuring a contact position of a plug housing (300) on a mating plug housing (510), wherein the CPA member (200) has a plug housing (300) in a mounting direction (280). It includes a housing 210 that can be fitted thereinto, and a locking member 250 for blocking the latching member 360 of the plug housing 300 . The housing 210 of the CPA member 200 includes a through opening 230 for receiving the plug housing 300 during the mounting process. The locking member 250 is disposed on the housing 210 of the CPA member 200 and includes a free end 252 extending along a mounting direction 280 . According to the present invention, in order to be able to manufacture the CPA member 200 as simply and economically as possible, and to keep the risk of interlocking of the CPA member 200 normally present as bulk material as low as possible, the locking member 250 is offset outwardly relative to the housing 210 of the CPA member 200 transverse to the mounting direction 280 . The invention also relates to a plug connector device comprising a CPA member (200).
