FIELD: biotechnology. ;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biotechnology. The invention is a method for indirectly determining the number of infectious doses of rabies virus strain RV-97 in raw materials for attenuated rabies vaccine by reverse transcription and polymerase chain reaction in real time using original specific oligonucleotides and the developed exponential function of the dependence of the threshold amplification cycle and the number of infectious doses of rabies virus strain RV-97. The number of infectious doses of rabies virus is determined during RT-PCR-RT by the value of the threshold amplification cycle. Based on the established value of the threshold amplification cycle (Ct), the value of the number of infectious doses of rabies virus strain RV-97 (NIDRVS RV-97) is calculated using the developed mathematical model: NIDRVS RV-97 =10^(-0,3012⋅Ct+10,2040) (R2=0.9927, E=99.99%). ;EFFECT: present invention makes it possible to quickly and with a high degree of reliability determine the number of infectious doses of rabies virus strain RV-97 in raw materials for an attenuated rabies vaccine based on PCR-RT, followed by the use of the developed mathematical model. ;7 cl, 2 dwg, 8 tbl, 5 ex
