A process of dyeing and finishing a woven or knitted fabric and fabric and fabric uppers with a predefined color using it. The method comprises the steps of: providing a piece of woven or knitted fabric in a solid color; dyeing the woven or knitted fabric piece by spray printing a dye liquor containing nanoparticles; subjecting the dyed woven or knitted textile piece to a heat treatment at high temperature or with steam so that the nanoparticles attach themselves to the fibers of the woven or knitted textile piece, and obtain a woven or knitted textile piece with a predefined color. The dyeing and finishing process can reduce wastewater production effectively.
