PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-performance circular dichroism filter which can operate in a visible or near-infrared region, suppresses reflection, has excellent selective absorption of circularly polarized light, can reduce the thickness, and is easy to manufacture. SOLUTION: This is a circular dichroism filter including a plurality of structures arranged side by side in a plane, and the structures are two base end portions arranged at different positions in a direction intersecting the plane.
