The present disclosure relates to a method and apparatus for training a news article analysis model. According to an embodiment, a method for training a news article analysis model includes: storing preset financial words and person words; acquiring a news article from an external device to which the electronic device is connected; identifying a sentence in the news article that includes the financial word or the people word; extracting a preset number of sentences from among the identified sentences; and generating training data for training the news article analysis model by pre-processing the extracted sentences. may include
