PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the dephosphorization rate of a hot metal by adding a CaO source as an auxiliary raw material at an appropriate time point. SOLUTION: The slag is in progress from the start of the blowing process according to the determination by the CaO source charging determination unit for determining the charging start timing of the CaO source charged into the hot metal to be blown in the converter and the CaO source charging determination unit. Provided is a converter smelting control device including a slag processing control unit that starts charging a CaO source after the lapse of time assumed to be required until the basicity of slag falls below a predetermined threshold.
