PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for routing a packet between a time-dependent networking (TSN) network and a non-TSN network by a virtual local area network (VLAN) tag operation. A storage medium and a device having a controller are provided. The storage medium stores the first mapping of the stream identifier (ID) in the VLAN tag and the second mapping of the stream ID in the VLAN tag display. The controller is coupled to the storage medium and routes packets between time-dependent networking (TSN) and non-TSN networks according to the first and second mappings. Packet routing involves inserting a VLAN tag into the packet or removing the VLAN tag from the packet according to the packet's stream ID and the first and second mappings, thereby TSN.
