Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method for image registration, an apparatus for image registration, a radiotherapy device, and a computer-readable storage medium. The method for image registration includes acquiring a first image and a second image; identifying a to-be-registered area in the first image and the second image respectively, generating a first to-be-registered image that includes only the to-be-registered area and a second to-be-registered image that includes only the to-be-registered area, and then registering the first to-be-registered image and the second to-be-registered image. Since the first to-be-registered image includes only the to-be-registered area, and the second to-be-registered image includes only the to-be-registered area, registration based on the first to-be-registered image and the second to-be-registered image can avoid interferences with the to-be-registered area by other areas in the first image and the second image during registration directly based on the first image and the second image, thereby improving the registration precision. At the same time, small size of data is used for registration based on the first to-be-registered image and the second to-be-registered image, thereby saving the time for registration and improving the speed of registration.
