A suspension connection node for a large-span cantilever steel truss and a construction method therefor, the connection node comprising a steel pipe column (1), cantilever main beams (2), temporary steel tie rods (3) and fixed steel tie rods (4). A side end of the steel pipe column (1) is provided with steel corbels (11). The bottom end of each steel corbel (11) is provided with a column lug plate (12) along a vertical direction. The end of each steel corbel (11) away from the steel pipe column (1) is provided with a web (13). One end of each cantilever main beam (2) is connected to the webs (13). The end of each cantilever main beam (2) away from the steel pipe column (1) is provided with a beam node (21). The beam nodes (21) are used to connect side beams (22) perpendicular to the cantilever main beams (2). The top ends of the cantilever main beams (2) are fixedly provided with beam lug plates (23). Two ends of each temporary steel tie rod (3) are each fixedly provided with a connecting plate (31). The two connecting plates (31) are fixedly connected to one column lug plate (12) and one beam lug plate (23) respectively. The structure is constructed in order from bottom to top, the temporary steel tie rods (3) are used to assist the layer-by-layer installation and adjustment of the cantilever main beams (2), there is an extra layer of protection for component hoisting and, at the same time, operators have a working surface and safety protection.
