Disclosed in the present invention is a breeding method for a new transgenic high-quality species of upland cotton. The breeding method comprises breeding parent Hunan 176 line, breeding parent Hunan 267 line, performing hybridization and composite hybridization by means of taking the Hunan 176 line and the Hunan 267 as parents and obtaining a new transgenic high-quality species of conventional upland cotton from the progeny thereof. For the species, the plant type is in a tower shape, the growth vigor is in a seedling stage, the growth vigor in the boll opening stage and uniformity are good, stalk cilia are dense, anthers are white, boll opening is smooth, agronomic characters are stable, and the yielding ability is good. The fiber quality is excellent.
