In order to provide a method for anti-scale coating of steel sheets made of high-strength steel materials, in which the risk of hydrogen embrittlement of the steel material is minimized and which ensures sufficient weldability of the coated steel sheets, a method (100) for anti-scale coating of a steel sheet, in particular a body component, is proposed. comprising the steps:- providing a steel sheet made of a steel material with a tensile strength in the hardened state of at least 1700 MPa,- providing a coating, the coating comprising a binder and metal pigments, and- coating the steel sheet with the coating.
