To provide a tower structure reduced in response acceleration based on the characteristic mode swing width with a simple structure, and an optimization method for the structure thereof.SOLUTION: A tower structure 2 comprises a rigidity strengthening part 10 at a position corresponding to a height causing the maximum swing width of a multiple-frequency vibration mode obtained by proper value analysis using a time history response analysis model of the tower structure 2 to a tower body 4. The rigidity strengthening part 10 can reduce the response acceleration based on the characteristic mode swing width, by having a thick part 11 thickened in an inner side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
